John M. Vranish Celebrated by Marquis Who’s Who for More Than 45 Years of Experience in Electrical Engineering
Mr. Vranish was featured in eight volumes of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering

As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Supported by an excess of four and a half decades of invaluable contributions to the field of electrical engineering, Mr. Vranish has worked as the president of Vranish Innovative Technologies, and as an emeritus member of the Goddard Space Flight Center, since 2006. At the start of his career, he joined the Naval Surface Weapons Center in the role of staff engineer in robotics research. After serving in that position for more than a decade, Mr. Vranish held similar roles with the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Goddard Space Flight Center.
An alumnus of the U.S. Military Academy and George Washington University, Ms. Vranish holds a Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Science in electrical engineering. A member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, he has achieved much throughout the course of his career. In addition to receiving the 100 Award through R&D Magazine in 1997 and 2006, he invented a capaciflector, carrier-less anti-backlash transmissions, magnetostrictive direct drive rotary motors, spin bearings, and brakes using the method of equilibrium locking; many of these inventions currently have patents pending. A contributor to numerous professional publications, Mr. Vranish has also been featured in three editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, eight editions of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and 14 editions of Who’s Who in the World.
